  1. What do we classify the UX writer as? It’s a role that’s appearing on more and more job boards, often from trendsetting tech giants like Amazon, Google, and PayPal. What exactly is this new breed of UXer, why are we seeing it now, and is it a fad, or a genuine paradigm shift? And perhaps most importantly, is a UX writer something you should have on your team?

In this article, we’ll look at this new phenomenon, and answer all your questions about UX writing.

  2. Let's face it -- when it comes to measuring the return on investment for user experience (UX), all the traditional metrics fall down flat. For today's organizations, you simply can't put a price on the value of delivering an incredibly satisfying and rewarding experience to customers and users. That value percolates across all parts of the enterprise -- well beyond customer service.

The debate about the ROI of UX has been heating up lately. Alan Cooper, an ancestry thinker and software alchemist, recently posted that the question about the ROI of UX is "the most idiotic question ever asked." Why? Because organizations really don't pay attention to or even care about the value of superior UX, he states.

  3. Much has been written about the rise of machine learning and artificial intelligence and how it will impact the auto lending industry. While there has been a significant amount of hype, the promise of artificial intelligence is simply game changing.

The most obvious application is that thinking machines will be able to assess risk and provide an accurate estimate of whether certain borrowers will repay their loans. The ramifications of this change will be massive. If auto lenders are better able to understand whether a particular borrower is not able to pay back the entirety of his or her auto loan, lenders can mitigate their risk while offering better pricing and more approvals to new loan applicants.

  4. Let’s get straight to the point. – The number one priority of any Ecommerce website is to generate sales. And the biggest hurdle in achieving that is the shopping cart abandonment rate.

Shopping cart abandonment simply means visitors leaving your online store without making any purchase. And right now, 69.89 percent of online shoppers abandon their shopping carts, according to Baymard Institute’s calculations from 34 studies on e-commerce cart abandonment.

While of course there is nothing much you can do about visitors leaving your website for the reasons out of your control – reasons like not interested in your products or not ready to buy yet, but what about the visitors who are ready to buy? – why are they leaving?

  5. SEO is a dynamic, ever-changing field. As search algorithms evolve and the way we use technology in our day-to-day lives changes, the best SEO strategy will always be a moving target. 6. The user experience (UX) is all-important in the modern business sphere. The experience your target audience has from the moment they click on your website to (ideally) making a purchase creates impressions. Your website should guide users smoothly along the buyer journey. It should engage with them through meaningful interactions. If your website falls short of expectations, you will lose them to your competitors.

One of the best ways to decrease your bounce rate and boost conversions is to avoid these six common UX mistakes.

  8. So you have a million-dollar app idea? That's awesome! Oh, did you say you have kickass programming skills to turn it into a reality, too? Amazing! Now, all there is left to do is to design your app to look aesthetically pleasing and make it so easy to use that a five-year-old would have no problem navigating through it.

  9. " User Experience certainly seems like one of those “nice to have” things. Who wouldn’t want their users to have a “delightful” time? Who wouldn’t want to be “empathetic” to their needs?

I know you think about your users in the website revision meetings! I’ve listened to you try and put yourself in the customer’s shoes in the feature development discussion!

I also know that you are up to your eyeballs busy every day getting a website up and running and due yesterday that creates value for the company. Value that was created by reaching KPIs such as increased sales and leads, all the while trying to keep costs such as development time down.

That’s why I am here to tell you, if done correctly, that’s exactly what User Experience does."

  10. However you refer to your user experience design (UXD, UED or XD), it’s in your best interest to take the process of enhancing your website seriously. In order to create the most appealing user experience, it needs to be usable, accessible and pleasurable to surf through your site. The total user experience starts with human-computer interaction (HCI) and expands to every aspect of your product or service as perceived by your visitors.

It’s a lot easier these days to get your website up and running. Yet, it’s harder than ever to optimize your website design for the precise user experience (UX) that will draw in your target market. According to the Society of Digital Agencies (SoDA), 77 percent of organizations think that a poor website UX is a major weakness for today’s marketing experts.
