  1. The ‘digital’ is the easy part to understand. ‘Experience’ is every interaction a customer has with your company. How do they experience your brand? And ‘Management’ is how you monitor and keep track of everything so you know what messages to send and how to interact with your customers.

  3. Let’s get straight to the point. – The number one priority of any Ecommerce website is to generate sales. And the biggest hurdle in achieving that is the shopping cart abandonment rate.

Shopping cart abandonment simply means visitors leaving your online store without making any purchase. And right now, 69.89 percent of online shoppers abandon their shopping carts, according to Baymard Institute’s calculations from 34 studies on e-commerce cart abandonment.

While of course there is nothing much you can do about visitors leaving your website for the reasons out of your control – reasons like not interested in your products or not ready to buy yet, but what about the visitors who are ready to buy? – why are they leaving?

  4. Google-owned video sharing platform YouTube is testing a new video recommendation format that displays blue bubbles on the screen with relevant keywords and related topic suggestions, facilitating easier browsing, media reported.

"The screenshots obtained show these blue bubbles just underneath the video player showing more specific video recommendations," The Verge reported on Tuesday.

The video-sharing platform is currently testing the feature with some users on its main desktop page as well as on the mobile app.

For sometime now users have been complaining that the videos recommended on the side on YouTube's interface often have little to do with the current video, making recommendations a point of contention for the platform.

  5. Improve customer loyalty. Reduce customer churn. Maximize revenue. These are the top reasons why so many organisations have employed Enterprise Feedback Management Software(EFM). Interestingly enough, in a highly competitive market where your competitors are just a click away, we’re seeing that some organisations still haven’t embraced EFM. In fact, according to Destination CRM, only 42% of organisations are using one or more technologies to back their VoC programmes. So why haven’t they all jumped on the bandwagon? Could this perhaps be a matter of not knowing which software to employ? Then we’ve got your covered.

  6. Mobile e-commerce used to be considered a “cherry on top” for desktop online retail. As smart mobile devices became more widespread and accessible, people began incorporating them into the e-commerce journey—but primarily to search and browse products rather than conduct transactions. This was due in part to the challenges associated with using mobile browsers of the past when it came to complex, multi-step interactions like checking out.

  7. Improving the customer experience (CX) is on the priority list of just about every organisation globally these days.

Yet it feels like little genuine progress has been made. It is still too difficult to discover new products on the web, find merchandise information and even purchase goods online, especially if companies were truly as customer-centric as many claim to be.

Why is this? Why are brands struggling to improve the customer-facing parts of their businesses – and what can marketers do to help?

  9. User experience, edge computing and AI will continue to dominate as key trends in 2019 as organisations put particular focus on simplifying their enterprise architectures. We will see organisations transform for the everything-as-a-service economy and changing the way they operate. Advances in technology and business demands mean that enterprise technology is unrecognisable from what it just five years ago, with a focus on technologies that can boost people productivity and the ability to serve customers.

In Australia, a 2017 report by economics and strategy consulting firm AlphaBeta revealed that if the rate of automation is doubled, it will take away on average four hours of work each week from Australian workers over the next 15 years. Additionally, Australia should double its pace of artificial intelligence and robotics automation to reap an AUD$ 2.2 trillion opportunity by 2030, while also urgently preparing to support more than 3 million workers whose jobs may be at risk.
