  1. I recently took my car in for servicing and got it back the same day. But after less than an hour, the problem reappeared. I took the car back, and after some delay, the issue was resolved. While I was collecting the vehicle the service associate informed me I would be receiving a survey, and asked if I would kindly give him a 9 or 10. After sharing my story with friends, I realized that my experience was no exception, which prompted us to launch our own survey on the premium and luxury automotive segment. We found that the customer experience (CX) with most brands was poor, yet most of them were boasting about their high customer satisfaction rates. This inevitably led to the conclusion that CX measurement is flawed.

  2. Over 90% of smartphone owners use apps, and 72% of app users churn within the first three months of installing a new app. As marketers reevaluate acquisition programs, shifting payment down the funnel from installs to engagement, the approach should be centered around the consumer experience.

Focusing on minute optimizations of marketing and UX alone largely neglects users and user experience, from high-level acquisition through down-funnel engagement in-app. Marketers and developers alike have forgotten that a smartphone is likely treated as more of an appendage than an accessory. Phones are highly personal devices, filled with carefully organized and curated applications intended to make life easier (e.g. maps, banking, email) or fun (e.g. games, social media, shopping).

  4. Online Surveys provide marketers with a simple and easy way to get in contact with a targeted audience and collect feedback. Not to mention, they are great for tracing product feedback, conducting market research, obtaining feedback on customer service and measuring customer AND employee satisfaction. Picking a suitable online survey software for your business can however be quite tricky – especially considering many of these tools seem to provide many of the same features. One particular tool which has become quite popular in recent years is Qualaroo.

Let’s look at some alternatives and competitors to Qualaroo.

  5. For digital marketers and product owners, understanding the need for mobile optimisation will be critical in the coming year. In a study carried out by Statista, in the third quarter of 2017, nearly 53% of global web traffic originated from mobile devices. This is a huge jump from the previous year and it’s expected to rise even more in 2018. So what will this rise in mobile users mean for businesses? The answer is simple. They will need to provide an optimal mobile experience. And one of the best ways to do this is give them a voice – through in-app feedback.
