    Fewer people are relying on print (newspapers and magazines) and even TV for their news.

    Print subscriptions continue to decline and almost half of Americans report getting their news online, nearly the same as TV news.

    Despite the evolution of the news “interface” from print and TV to digital, many of the same content sources remain. Traditional TV and print sources of news are also popular online sources. Consequently, we benchmarked the desktop user experience of the following seven news websites: BBC, CNN, Fox News, Huffington Post, The New York Times, The Guardian and The Wall Street Journal.

  6. Let’s get straight to the point. – The number one priority of any Ecommerce website is to generate sales. And the biggest hurdle in achieving that is the shopping cart abandonment rate.

    Shopping cart abandonment simply means visitors leaving your online store without making any purchase. And right now, 69.89 percent of online shoppers abandon their shopping carts, according to Baymard Institute’s calculations from 34 studies on e-commerce cart abandonment.

    While of course there is nothing much you can do about visitors leaving your website for the reasons out of your control – reasons like not interested in your products or not ready to buy yet, but what about the visitors who are ready to buy? – why are they leaving?

  10. The digital ecosystem has evolved to such a level, where our everyday customer journeys are just that - everyday. We expect our online shopping experience to be seamless. If it is anything less, then it becomes a bad user experience, frustrating and annoying to the consumer.

    Users are moving away from tolerance and more and more towards proneness. This shift is seen in the unsurprising stat that since January 2013, ad-blocking software has grown by 400% with currently 200 million users worldwide. More often than not, someone downloads AdBlocker not because of ads, but because of a bad ad experience.

    This means that now more than ever, the customer is always right. They hold so much power over brands today, who are often scrambling to show an ad to as many people as possible whilst keeping returning customers loyal.
