  1. User feedback is the key indicator of customer experience. Having access to the customer insights puts you as a marketer at a competitive advantage. In fact, user feedback will also enable you to prioritise and address issues that surface, putting you one step closer to reaching a profitable conclusion and closing the loop. That is why it’s important to have the right user feedback solution in place, depending on your needs and of course, budget. In this article we will zoom in on several free user feedback solutions that are great for digital marketers who are on a budget.

  2. The eCommerce industry has experienced a tremendous amount of growth in the past decade. This growth – in combination with a (still) relatively low market share – represents a huge opportunity for more innovative eCommerce companies looking to overtake their traditional counterparts.

However, in order to latch on to the ‘growth train’, these same eCommerce companies (and therefore, eCommerce managers) are going to have to put their best foot forward. In other words, they’ll need to be sure that they are providing a first-rate online customer experience.

  3. Todd Bracher is mostly known in the industry for his furniture and product designs, but he is fast making a name as a branding strategy leader, too. As an adviser to American manufacturer HBF, Todd Bracher Studio has helped the company expand into new markets and reach a more contemporary global audience.

Today’s user-centered work environments have come a long way from the plans of the 1990s, in which cubicles made efficient use of real estate, often at the expense of comfort and experience. Bracher and HBF’s vision is in line with current thinking about humanistic design: The aim is to make workplace furniture more comfortable, but not too comfortable. It’s all in support of more collaboration, more creativity, and, ultimately, more productivity.

  4. Virtual reality has skyrocketed in popularity in just a few short years. Ten years ago, VR tech simply wasn’t there, and if it was, the hardware was prohibitively expensive.

Now, your smartphone can act as a VR headset. With Google Cardboard, a smartphone with VR capabilities, and a 3D printer, you can gain access to VR tech for almost no cost whatsoever.

  5. A lot of marketers get their CX mixed up with their UX. It’s an easy thing to do. Separating one discipline from another can seem confusing, but in reality it’s simple to define, and understanding the difference can have a massive impact on a business that wants to cater to customer needs more effectively.

  6. The cloud is to innovation what airplanes are to wanderlust: a means of faster and more fruitful accomplishment. There are a number of cloud applications available for driving productivity, from note-taking apps to accounting software, but for businesses looking to drive change, nothing beats online project management software.

  7. While most shopping sites today use responsive design, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Samsung, and others are advancing modern web technologies that are part of the Progressive Web App movement. PWAs unite the universal customer reach of the web with the engaging experience of a mobile app.

  8. I recently took my car in for servicing and got it back the same day. But after less than an hour, the problem reappeared. I took the car back, and after some delay, the issue was resolved. While I was collecting the vehicle the service associate informed me I would be receiving a survey, and asked if I would kindly give him a 9 or 10. After sharing my story with friends, I realized that my experience was no exception, which prompted us to launch our own survey on the premium and luxury automotive segment. We found that the customer experience (CX) with most brands was poor, yet most of them were boasting about their high customer satisfaction rates. This inevitably led to the conclusion that CX measurement is flawed.

  9. Have you ever wondered this: what is the best way to plan and map out the layout and structure of a website or mobile app? Or how you should go about showing, explaining and proving to people that your ideas and/or concept will work before you start working on the prototype? If you do it verbally or in writing, you leave a lot of things to people’s imagination and there’s bound to be misunderstanding. The answer is to use wireframing tools to make wireframes.

  10. Automation – in general – is a huge force in many industries in the business world today. Every organisation looks for ways to automate business processes and workflows. And the sales industry is no exception. Sales representatives spend a majority of their day handling administrative tasks and researching prospects; actual sales only take up about a third of their time. Thanks to sales automation tools, time spent on these tasks can be lowered tremendously, giving sales reps more time to focus on speaking with prospects and improving the sales process.
