  1. Many people over the years have said that email marketing’s days are numbered and that it will soon become a dated, perhaps even obsolete technology. But actually, this assumption couldn’t be more wrong. Email marketing still remains one of the most effective marketing channels with the highest return on investment (ROI). Much like other marketing channels however, email campaigns do offer up their fair share of challenges. Surprisingly, many of these challenges revolve around a lack of understanding and engagement with the target audience. It seems that with many campaign emails, communications are only outbound, leaving marketers with no real insight into how their email was received by their readers. This lack of insight into the performance an email campaign is precisely why it’s important to start collecting email campaign feedback.

In this article we will investigate why email campaign feedback is important for email marketers and provide you with some tips / advice on how to collect email campaign feedback.

  2. Campus events are a big part of what makes the college experience memorable. When students and guests attend alumni weekends, arts performances and sports activities, they expect technology to enhance their experiences. Often, colleges must get creative to come up with the right tech solution for each type of event.

  3. Imagine that in today’s world we only had two types of cars, Ford and Chevy. All the Ford cars only work on Ford roads, and all the Chevy cars only work on Chevy roads. If you want to open a business, you have to build one for each type of road. That’s pretty much what our current smartphone app ecosystem is like right now, and it really makes no sense. Hopefully, things won’t stay like this for much longer.

  4. To wean users off their devices, UX designers can deploy the very tricks that made their products so addictive in the first place, writes Bruce Nussbaum.

The defining change in the field of design that brought design, finally, to the attention of Silicon Valley was the rise of UX. The ability to design great engagements for consumers of mobile technology added enormous value to high-tech companies— and to the design profession itself. Designers finally moved from the periphery to the center of business as engineers and coders recognized the critical importance of a designed experience. In the past decade, design and technology have morphed into a single product process.

  5. There are many different ways to focus on the user experience for your website. However, sometimes those ideas are so overused and generic that they may not actually have you typical user in mind. When determining if your website’s UX actually has the user in mind, you should look at what process your target audience will likely to go through when landing on your page.

  6. In a technology-driven world, it’s common to hear the term user experience, or UX. It is most often associated with products and platforms with a focus on ensuring end users have a positive and effective experience interacting with the solution. To be clear, user experience is more than the user interface, or UI (the visuals). It is the skeleton the UI is built on.

  10. What is UX? How can I get into UX? What does the day to day involve? I get asked these questions a lot.

Many people, even designers, don’t really have a clue what UX actually means. They think it’s some kind of handy-wavy fu that consultants palm people off with. Meanwhile, real UX design is in high demand. What’s all the fuss about?
