  3. Where do you get your news? Do you think it’s objective? Do you trust it?

Fewer people are relying on print (newspapers and magazines) and even TV for their news.

Print subscriptions continue to decline and almost half of Americans report getting their news online, nearly the same as TV news.

Despite the evolution of the news “interface” from print and TV to digital, many of the same content sources remain. Traditional TV and print sources of news are also popular online sources. Consequently, we benchmarked the desktop user experience of the following seven news websites: BBC, CNN, Fox News, Huffington Post, The New York Times, The Guardian and The Wall Street Journal.

  5. Most design and product teams have some type of persona document. Theoretically, personas help us better understand our users and meet their needs. The idea is that codifying what we’ve learned about distinct groups of users helps us make better design decisions. Referring to these documents ourselves and sharing them with non-design team members and external stakeholders should ultimately lead to a user experience more closely aligned with what real users actually need.

  7. When it comes to online shopping, the smartphone has now surpassed desktops. In October 2016, nearly 51.3% of the global population browses online using a tablet or a smartphone, compared to the 48.7% that use a desktop. Starting in 2015, Google began rewarding mobile-friendly websites with higher rankings in the search results; a good reason for businesses to have a strategy in place for mobile. Today most businesses use responsive and adaptive websites. However, these same businesses are also considering using mobile apps – but are these mobile apps user-friendly?

  9. Many organizations are taking steps towards becoming compliant with the upcoming EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) before the May 2018 compliance date. But only a few are considering user experience (UX) aspects of GDPR compliance, which is of paramount importance in order to gain a competitive edge. A sound UX strategy tied with GDPR compliance will enable organizations to use personal data privacy as a differentiator in the market to attract new customers and retain existing ones. It is necessary to consider privacy as a key ingredient of your UX at the initial stages itself.

This webinar will cover best practices when applying GDPR into your product experience and user journey with the examples such as:

    - User onboarding
    - Privacy by design
    - Managing user consent
