  1. There is one principle of organization that every human should adhere to, particularly people who design products. Day after day, I see companies break this rule, and it is 100% of the time to their detriment. In this article I will explain what that rule is, and what it means to product and service design. I’ll also raise the possible implications of this phenomenon on organizational management, collaboration, and general performance. The psychological phenomenon I will be discussing in this article is known as Miller’s Law. Rather than just tell you what Miller’s Law is, I ask you to take part in this exercise for a more immersive learning lesson.

  2. “Should I use Infinite scrolling or Pagination for my content?” Some designers are still refereeing a tug-o-war between the two methods to decide which to implement into their projects. Each of them has their strengths and weaknesses and in this article we’ll overview the two methods and decide which one we should use for our projects.

  3. The most exciting projects I’ve worked on, and that had the best impact on the people using them, had several things in common. There was a good understanding of the technologies involved, their limitations and the foundations needed for a proper solution. Most importantly, though, experience design played a big role, creating a clear sense of who the audience was and how people would be using the interface.

  4. When a user visits your website, the type of experience they have plays a great part in whether or not they will be engaged enough in your site that will result in a conversion. Web builders who take the time to ensure that they're site has an increased amount of user engagement will likely experience an increase in their conversion rate.

  5. No matter how far the world goes, the final goal of any business is to generate profit. For that, it needs to convert. To achieve this goal, the consumer - or user in the case of software - needs to feel comfortable with the interaction they have with their product, or service provider. In the digital world, this is known as User Experience (UX). The better that relationship is, the better the sales potential.

  6. Human face is a very powerful tool in designer’s toolbox. The influence that a face can have on people is surprising. However, all too often, we ignore this tool when designing our products. We simply forget to consider what the human face is capable of doing.

Let’s take a look at some of the ways designers can use human faces to improve UX.

  8. One of the fables that floats around UX teams is that of the US space program and its quest for a pen that could be used in anti-gravity.

They reportedly spent million dollars developing a high-tech writing utensil with ink that remained solid until the flow of writing and a pressurized chamber that made it useful upside-down. The Russian cosmonauts, however, simply brought pencils.

Though this story isn’t wholly true, it shines light on the necessity of understanding the larger picture. The space pen did make it into orbit and was a privately-funded accomplishment in engineering...

  9. Whether or not you’re a website designer, possessing a comprehensive understanding of user experience (UX) is paramount. Strong UX directly correlates to better business. In fact, putting emphasis on UX from the get-go increases everything from customer retention, conversions and market share. And what’s better than that?

But to really reap the benefits, business owners, online marketers and content creators should learn what constitutes UX and how to speak the language to get the most bang for their buck.

  10. The goal of User Experience design (UXD) is to improve the overall experience a user has with a product.

UXD involves a variety of activities — user research, persona mapping, information architecture, wireframing, interaction design, prototyping, testing to name a few. It involves every aspect of how someone interacts with any product or digital platform. For example, information architecture determines how a website or app is structured; interaction design deals with what interface is being used, and how users navigate through the product; while a website’s or app’s usability determines how functional and user-friendly the product is. You can check more on this where we have explained in detail the Common UX Mistakes to avoid.
